about me
“I want everyone to know that we have the ability to change our lives. When we do the inner work and practice mindfulness, our energy shifts and our outer world changes. Our perceptions change and thus our experiences in the world around us change.”
— Angela June
“I am honoured to take this moment to brag about Angela’s Yoga Programming for children and children with Special Needs. Angela works with children with Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Genetic Syndromes, Acquired Brain Injury and Autism and the list continues.
I had the privilege of watching Angela lead a group of neurologically different students with a variety of abilities through beautiful and accessible yoga sessions. The children ranged in age from 4 years of age to 11. The children had a range of physical and cognitive abilities such as verbal/nonverbal, tight tone/lose tone, children able to sit and stand independently and those requiring intensive one to one physical support to move.
Angela invited the children into a calming practice that captivated their attention from the moment she arrived. Instructions were clear and modified to meet the children’s specific needs. Each child felt successful and included.
Angela provided a very creative session involving a variety of props, stories, imagery and sequences of movement.
After the session, the children were calm, happy and empowered that they could do Yoga!
I have since gone on to learn and be mentored by Angela as a Special Needs Yoga Teacher.
I would recommend Angela if you are looking for excellent Children’s Yoga Programs, Yoga Programs for Children with Special Needs and Adult Yoga, (I have the pleasure of taking my own classes with Angela).”
